Negreanu and Rousso lead LA Poker Classic

Negreanu and Rousso lead LA Poker Classic

Monday, 1 March 2010

Eugene Katchalov, Mark Seif, Masa Kagawa, Steve Sung, Vivek Rajkumar, Howard Lederer, Johnny Chan, Erica Schoenberg, Prahlad Friedman, JP Kelly and Gavin Griffin survived the second day of the Los Angeles Poker Classic at the Commerce Casino but none did so well as Daniel Negreanu or Vanessa Rousso.

NBC Heads-Up Championship runner-up Rousso finished the day in sixth place with 221,000 but fellow PokerStars pro and multiple WSOP bracelet-winner Negreanu clocked in third with over 300,000 in chips.

Negreanu needs a cash of $249,653 in order to once again surpass Phil Ivey at the top of the all-time tournament money list. Both have over $12.5m in cashes but Ivey’s runner-up spot at the $100,000AUD High Roller event in January’s Aussie Millions pushed him into the top spot.

The first prize at this event is a cool $1.7m which Negreanu is obviously more than capable of taking down. Join us throughout the week for updates as we root for Kid Poker.
