The 2014 WSOP Hall of Fame inductees have just been announced and for many it will come as little surprise that Daniel Negreanu has made it onto the distinguished list.
The announcement that Negreanu had made it in the most exclusive room in poker came last night along with the news that Jack McClelland will also inducted. After a public vote to determine a selection of suitable grinders, Negreanu and McClelland were unanimously voted in by a panel of 41 industry experts, including current HOF members and those from the poker media. Both Negreanu and McClelland will be formally inducted into the WSOP HOF on November 9 during a special ceremony inside Binion's Gambling Hall."Being inducted into the Class of 2014 Poker Hall of Fame is a very exciting prospect and I am sure it will be a very humbling experience. I thank everyone involved in this process and to the WSOP, WPT and all of the great people I have met and the wonderful people I have worked with throughout the years. Thank you for bestowing this honour upon me. I am very grateful," said McClelland.Following this up, Negreanu said: "It's an honour to be inducted alongside so many great players that have come before me. It's an even bigger honour to be recognized at age 40, the same age as the legend Chip Reese."
