The World Poker Tour Doyle Brunson Five Diamond Poker Classic $10,000 Main Event has competition for the longest-titled poker tournament out there after the conclusion of the World Poker National Series Euro Finals of Poker Diamond Championship €5,000 Main Event – WPT, make your names shorter!

The tournament was won by Natalia Nikitina, who bested a field of 188 players including a tough final table consisting of UK star Sam Trickett and chip leader Benjamin Pollak. Trickett fortunately avoided being the first out of the door, that dubious honour went to Nicolo Calia who was shortly followed by Ingo Paulus.

Trickett was sent to the rail when he ran pocket fives into pocket nines and left us with five players. Eventually, we got heads-up with Nikitina holding a slight chip lead. The first all-in was nearly disastrous for her when she ran her Ks-9s into – of all the hands – A9. However, two big pots turned it around when she won with A-T vs 5-5 and then with A-2 drawing out against A-Q.

Now her opponent, Alexandre Brivot, was the shorter stack and got his money in with K-J. Nikitina called it off with A-3 and the board ran ragged to ship Natalia the title and a €243,830 payday.

The full final table payouts were as follows:

1. Natalia Nikitina €243,830
2. Alexandre Brivot €174,170
3. Jean-Louis Tepper €113,210
4. Benjamin Pollak €69,670
5. Tobias Wagner €52,250
6. Sam Trickett €43,545
7. Ingo Paulus €34,835
8. Nicolo Calia €26,120
