Being the high profile representative of the DeepStack Poker Tour seems to have had a positive effect on both Michael Mizrachi and his brother.
Despite only Michael being their sponsored player, the run good seemed to spread through both of them as they both made yesterday’s $1,500 final table.Taking place inside the Isle of Pompano Casino, the first Main Event of this season’s DSPT attracted 79 players and a top prize of $32,590. After battling their way through the masses, both Michael and Daniel Mizrachi made it to the final table. For a time it looked as though it would be a clean sweep for family; however, after Michael fell away in 7th place, it wasn’t long before Daniel followed suit in 4th.With the two most experienced players watching from the rail it was left to Eric Afriat to see off John Depersio and claim the top prize and a $3,000 seat in the DSPT Grand Final.DSPT-PPC South Florida Main Event Results:1 Eric Afriat $32,590*2 John Depersio $26,590*3 Bobby Gray $13,9884 Daniel Mizrachi $9,6845 Fernando Halac $7,5326 Tommy Vedes $5,9187 Michael Mizrachi $4,8428 Jonathan Arcangel Rivera Padilla $3,7669 Barry Pevner $2,690Keep up to date with all the news from the poker world by following us on Twitter and Facebook.
