This year's Poker in the Park festival will be packing a heavyweight punch with the news that boxing legend Evander Holyfield will be appearing at the festival.
The WBF champion is a keen poker player and will be appearing at Poker in the Park as a spokesman for RealDealPoker.com, the site that uses real cards rather than random number generators to create hands. Poker and boxing fans alike will be able to meet one of the finest fighters of his generation. Festival organiser Michael Caselli said, “We are thrilled to have a superstar like Evander on board at Poker in the Park. We’re used to having the most famous players in poker drop by, but Evander’s presence really illustrates the synergy between poker and mainstream sports and the exciting growth of poker in general.”The two-day poker extravaganza takes place in London's Leicester Square on 2nd and 3rd September and will feature lectures from some of the games top pros, loads of sit and go tournaments, cut prize books and merchandise plus a whole host of other attractions.Get up to the minute information on Poker in the Park at our special Facebook page and via an exclusive Twitter feed.
