This year's World Series of Poker Main Event runner up Martin Staszko is the latest player to become a Team PokerStars Pro.
Staszko, who becomes the second Czech Team PokerStars Pro alongside Martin Hruby, first rose to prominence after very health finishes at EPT and Unibet Open events in Prague last year but really hit the headlines after making this year's WSOP Main Event final table. The 35-year-old's chase for the Main Event bracelet fell just short but the $5.43m he earned for his runner up finish no doubt provided some consolation. Staszko will get the chance to lock horns with World Champion Pius Heinz once more at EPT Prague which starts on Monday 5th December. Given his record in the Czech capital we wouldn't bet against a deep run.“I'm really happy to sign for PokerStars and join such a talented team of poker players.” said Staszko, “I’m playing in my home country at EPT Prague as a Team PokerStars Pro and looking forward to playing many big live and online tournaments in 2012 like the PCA and WCOOP. My main focus is to win a mixed game event at the next WSOP, becoming the first Czech player to win a bracelet.”Join Staszko at the PokerStars tables with a 100% first deposit bonus up to $500.
