Marquez Parts with PokerStars

Wednesday, 9 January 2013

As one enters the fray at PokerStars another one is left waving goodbye to the company. In the last 48 hours it’s been reported that one of Spain’s top player, Ana Marquez, has parted ways with her sponsor.

After signing a contract with PokerStars in 2011, Ana managed multiple cashes across the world, including a second place finish at this year’s WSOPE.

However, after just 18 months of active service she has now left the company to pursue new opportunities.

Also joining Ana on the rail is Spanish football legend, Poli Rincon. Having been a “Friend of PokerStars” for a while, the Spanish representative is now nowhere to be found on the site’s pro pages.

The departure of Marquez and Rincon now leaves PokerStars with just two representatives from Spain: Juan Manuel Pastor and Javier Dominguez.

However, with a new pro on their roster in the form of Jake Cody it seems that PokerStars are keen to keep their ranks flowing with hot talent.
