Manny Pacquiao teams up with Asian Poker Tour

Being the best boxer in the world and a member of your country's House of Representatives would be enough to keep most mere mortals busy but vanquisher of Ricky Hatton, Manny Pacquiao has added another string to his bow.

The ten time World Champion has teamed up with the Asian Poker TourAsian Poker Tour to host the Manny Pacquiao World Poker Event from 7-12 December 2011 at the Pan Pacific Hotel’s Asia Poker Sports Club in Malate, Philippines. The series will feature a PHP50,000 (£750) re-entry Main Event as well as a PHP 50,000 High Roller (£7,500).


Asian Poker Tour Tournament Director, Lloyd Fontillas, who will be running the tournament, said, “The APT is obviously proud to be ensuring its popular and trusted protocol is followed at the Manny Pacquiao World Poker Event. I’m sure it will be a pleasure working with such a respected personality as Manny and we’re looking forward to seeing a large turnout come December 7.”
