Living The Dream Wraps Up

Monday, 7 March 2016

Juicy Stakes and Intertops Poker have released their final video report concerning the main event at the recent Seefeld stop of the Casinos Austria Poker Tour (CAPT).

The Horizon Poker Network sites sent a trio of competitors to the prestigious Austrian competition last month after these had won prize packages via a series of online satellite qualifiers. Although Daniel Montagnolli, Tim O’Keefe and Chris Perkins busted out early in the €2,160 ($2,343) buy-in showpiece competition, poker aficionados could still follow all of the action via video reports posted on the Living The Dream blog.

The Juicy Stakes and Intertops Poker qualifiers weren’t the only ones that went home early with the likes of Ronny Kaiser, Leon Tsoukernik, Josip Simunic, Niki Jedlicka, Mihai Manole, Rino Mathis, Dermot Blain and Quirin Zech also failing to make it through to the final round of action.

Three online satellite qualifiers from Intertops Poker and Juicy Stakes Poker were eliminated from the CAPT Seefeld’s main event early.

In the end, Irish competitor Peter Roche won the CAPT Seefeld’s three-day main event for €78,000 ($85,340) in cash after agreeing a deal with German players Jan-Peter Jachtmann and Toni Schmitz.

Going into the final round with 18 runners, chip leader Stefano Bertoldi lost almost every hand before eventually settling for 14th place while the only woman left in the main event, Danielle Rollinger from Luxembourg, crashed out in sixth for €16,200 ($17,740) by getting caught short after Schmitz went all-in.

After starting the final stages in last place with only 20 big blinds, Jachtmann worked hard and was able to gain the chip lead before Markus Durnegger briefly assumed control. The Austrian was then sent home in fourth for €25,900 ($28,398) thanks to a Queen on the board before the remaining trio agreed their deal.

Holding almost the same number of chips, Schmitz and Jachtmann settled for €55,800 ($61,131) each while Roche, who had been suffering from stomach problems due to three days at the table subsisting on junk food, settled for the remainder of the €189,600 ($207,715) pot.

Juicy Stakes and Intertops Poker recently ran a similar series of online satellite qualifiers for seats at the main event of the upcoming TK Poker Tour in St Maarten with Perkins already set to compete in this $1,100 buy-in extravaganza. Fans will be able to follow his progress via a similar series of Living The Dream video reports while the domains’ reported that they may well be running a similar promotion for another Austrian competition this summer.
