Lacchinelli's San Remo Triumph

The PokerStars Italian Poker Tour paid its second visit to San Remo of the year this week, with 392 players taking to the tables in the €1,000 Main Event.

Walking away with biggest chunk of the €380,240 prize pool was Riccardo Lacchinelli. The Italian is no stranger to success on the IPT after a final table appearance in Saint Vincent last year and a deep run in the first IPT San Remo event in April this year.

Lacchinelli secured the biggest score of his career after beating Frenchman Michel Segui heads up. The pair had agreed a chop but played on for the title and some extra cash with Lacchinelli coming from behind to hit trips with J3 to beat Segui's Q3.

The final table positions and payouts were as follows:

1. Riccardo Lacchinelli €70,500* (deal)
2. Michel Segui €59,500* (deal)
3. Roberto Masullo €32,000
4. Giuseppe Di Stasio €25,000
5. Antonio Illiano €20,000
6. Muhamet Perati €15,000
7. Carlo Savinelli €11,000
8. Alessandro Peppino Reich €8,770

Saimon Omar Pisano made it an Italian double after taking down the €300 IPT Mini. Pisano topped a 534 runner field to pocket €30,000.
