Keller heads UKIPT Cork final table

Monday, 18 February 2013

The final table of the PokerStars UKIPT Cork Main Event will be a truly international affair with players from six countries represented at the eight-runner final table.

There's a Pole in pole position in the form of Pawel Keller who'll return with a stack of 1,524,000 followed closely by home favourite Thomas Finneran who lies in second with 1,415,000. American Deborah Worley-Roberts is some way back in third with 795,000 with Stephen McGrath, who is playing at his second UKIPT final table, in fourth on 610,000.

Irishmen Alexander-Rhys Davies and Nicholas Newport, Iceland's Fridjon Thordarson and Germany's Pascal Tongi round out the final eight.

Dylan Roberts was the final table bubble boy, unlucky to run into Keller's pocket kings.

It was a case of what might have been for the PokerStars pros with both Dale Philip and Liv Boeree making the money but falling before the business end of proceedings. Philip busted in 32nd for €1,710 with former EPT San Remo winner Boeree following soon after with €1,910 after hitting the rail in 19th.

The final eight are all guaranteed a score of at least €5,910 with the winner pocketing €60,400. The action resumes at noon with blinds of 8,000/16,000 with an ante of 2000.

The chip counts are as follows:

Pawel Keller, Poland -1,524,000
Thomas Finneran, Ireland – 1,415,000
