It seems that Tom Dwan’s recent exploits against Team PokerStars has irked one of the high stakes world’s top players, Daniel “Jungleman” Cates.
In a tweet aimed at Durrrr earlier today, Cates questioned why they haven’t resumed their battle which ground to a halt before Black Friday. “@TomDwan, would you like to continue our challenge instead of playing everybody else at every game on @FullTiltPoker ?”The pair had initially locked horns after Durrrr challenged anyone in the high stakes world (except Phil Galfond) to a showdown. Having first tested his skills against Patrik Antonius, Tom then accepted the request of Cates. However, within a few thousand hands it was Cates who held the advantage before Tom’s schedule prevented him from playing. While some speculated that Tom was deliberately dragging his heels, Cates seemed content to play whenever they could and continue to scoop his opponent’s money. That patience now seems to have worn thin as he is now calling for a resolution to something they started almost three years ago.Keep up to date with all the news from the poker world by following us on Twitter and Facebook.
