According to former Full Tilt pro and stakeholder, John Juanda, Howard Lederer only took part in recent interviews “for his own reasons”.
In an interview with PokerListings he describes his penchant for high roller tournaments, explaining that they are appealing because they finish sooner and “don't get as many players, so it is, or at least it seems, a little bit easier”.While discussing his recent success in these events, he also answers some questions in regards to Howard Lederer and Full Tilt. Aside from admitting that he’s “very angry” about the situation, Juanda feels Lederer was severely underplaying his responsibility for the problems at Full Tilt. He even goes on to reveal that at one point “he was Ray Bitar’s boss”.He stops short of describing Howard as an innately bad person but, instead, feels he “trusted the wrong person”.In concluding the interview, Juanda insists that he “loved every minute” of his time as a representative of the company and that he wishes PokerStars the best in the future.
