Jonathan Jaffe Leads WPT Montreal

Jonathan Jaffe Leads WPT Montreal

Tuesday, 25 November 2014

Day 3 of this year's partypoker.net WPT Montreal event saw the field whittled down to just 18 players. After welcoming 732 entrants in the (CAD) $3,850 Main Event late last week, the organisers were left with just two tables last night and leading the way was Jonathan Jaffe.

The American pro and recent Foxwoods World Poker Finals winner managed to swerve his way past the likes of Mukul Pahuja and Marc-Andre Ladouceur to rake in 2.5 million chips. Also enjoying a hot streak on Day 3 was Ratharam Sivagnanam. The relative unknown enjoyed a fine run of form throughout the session to secure 2,380,000 chips and sit just behind Jaffe on the daily leaderboard.

Today's penultimate session in Montreal will see 18 players cut to just six as the players move a step closer to claiming the latest WPT trophy and (CAD) $463,432.

Joining the likes of Jaffe and Sivagnanam for Day 4's fight will be Samuel Chartier, Maurice Hawkins and Liv Boeree's former partner, Kevin MacPhee.
