John D’Agostino leads WPT Borgata Open Day 3

John D’Agostino leads WPT Borgata Open Day 3

Wednesday, 22 September 2010

The Borgata Poker Open World Poker Tour event has been through two days of slow, deepstacked play and the field has been reduced to almost one-tenth as 165 of the record-breaking 1,040 field remains in contention for Day 3.

Leading the way is Full Tilt pro John D’Agostino, who on 681,000 is well poised to make a deep run. That depends on how second biggest stack Guiseppe Pantaleo feels, though – he will be seated at D’Agostino’s table for Day 3. Exactly 100 players make the money so if the two maintain their big stacks as the money bubble is hit the action could get very interesting.

Six figures is guaranteed for those reaching the televised, six-handed final table with the winner walking away with almost three-quarters of a million dollars. The top ten chip counts are as follows:

1. John D’Agostino – 681,200
2. Giuseppe Pantaleo – 668,100
3. Francis Lamothe – 611,800
4. Lars Bonding – 521,900
5. Marc Goldman – 506,600
6. Eric Salinas – 495,000
7. Jens Eisner – 477,900
8. Stan Sinclair – 449,300
9. Jeffrey “jpapola” Papola – 447,300
10. Benjamin Klier – 433,800
