Jim Harnden wins WSOP Circuit Palm Beach Kennel Club

Tuesday, 28 February 2012

The World Series of Poker Circuit event at the Palm Beach Kennel Club has ended with Jim Harnden taking down a 778-strong field to win a first prize of $226,395. He defeated Rob Williamson heads-up in a short match.

Prior to the final nine being set, all eyes were on Brian Hastings who bought in on Day 2 and ran his short stack into a deep run. Unfortunately for “Stinger88”, he could not make it all the way and was eliminated in 11th place.

Harnden began heads-up against Williamson with a near 4-1 chip lead and just a few hands later had won it all. He ran KQ into AK but a queen-high flop delivered him the first prize and the WSOP-C ring.

The final table payouts were as follows:
1. Jim Harnden - $226,395
2. Rob Williamson - $139,574
3. Matthew O’Brien - $102,898
4. Roman Valerstein - $76,692
5. Jamil Wakil - $57,294
6. Drazen Ilich - $44,317
7. David Stefanski - $34,333
8. Sterling Savill - $26,930
9. Chris Parsons - $21,383
