As expected, the third and final opening flight of the 2014 Aussie Millions Main Event was a biggie with a total of 328 players taking to the tables.
By the close of Day 1C, that number had been whittled down to 176 with Martin Rowe the man out in front. The Aussie bagged up 228,100 chips, helped in large part by scooping a huge pot just before the end of play. All in with a set of tens, Rowe managed to river a full house to crush his unlucky opponent's flopped straight.Jason Mercier was the pick of the big name pros, finishing on 132,200. Other notables who'll be back tomorrow include Viktor Blom (82,000), Patrik Antonius (60,000), Jeff Rossiter (55,000) and John Juanda (29,000).There's a strong British challenge still in contention too with Tom Alner (120,000) and WSOP bracelet winner Craig McCorkell (92,000) leading the way.The overall field stands at 657 runners, and there's still room to add as registration remains open until the start of Day 2. The action resumes at 2.30pm local time (3.30am GMT).2014 Aussie Millions Main Event Chip Leaders1. Martin Rowe – 228,200 2. David Malka – 205,400 3. Antonio Fazzolari – 190,500 4.
