Isildur1 loses over $300k to Torbergsen and Jedlicka at PLO

Friday, 2 September 2011

The last time we reported on Viktor “Isildur1” Blom, he had just had a fantastic couple of sessions; he destroyed Ilari “Ilari_FIN” Sahamies to the tune of nearly $800k playing high stakes PLO and over the weekend had won more than $1.4m.

It’s not quite the vintage Isildur1 we all know and love – he would have run that $1.4m up to five or six before losing it all, but he came close. No sooner had he busted from the PokerStars EPT Barcelona than he was back online and sitting at the Omaha tables ready to spin it up.

Of course, he ran into not only PLO specialist Andreas “Skjervoy” Torbergsen and the original swinging busto-to-robusto-and-busto-again online player Nicki “RealAndyBeal” Jedlicka. Over the course of the day, Isildur1 dropped over $300,000 at a rate of around $200 per hand. He was in good company, however – Phil “MrSweets28” Galfond, aka the best Omaha player in the world, dropped over $250,000 that very same day.

Though Torbergsen and Jedlicka claimed most of Isildur1’s dropped $300,000, it was Ronny “1-ronnyr3” Kaiser who took home the largest profits, winning over $300,000 in the same ring game that Galfond dropped his six figures. Since then, however, he lost over $50k which makes Torbergsen the big winner of the past weekend.
