Isai Scheinberg tops Bluff magazine’s Power 20

Bluff US have released their 2012 Power 20, a list of the top 20 most influential people in the poker world for this year. Topping the score is PokerStars founder Isai Scheinberg, knocking Howard Lederer off his 2011 top spot.

Lederer was absent from the list for obvious reasons, while Bernard Tapie made his first appearance. The list also featured first-time appearances from US senators and lawmakers as well as casino operators.

Daniel Negreanu was the only poker player to make the list, coming in at number 9. Senator Harry Reid, who is again pushing for online poker regulation, came in third before PartyPoker co-CEO Jim Ryan.

Scheinberg topped the list though. Despite being under indictment, the PokerStars founder has seen his creation establish something close to a global monopoly on online poker.
