International Stadiums Poker Tour - $30m guaranteed

The biggest poker event in history is a pretty large promise to make, but according to this new advert from ISPT.com, a new poker tour at Wembley Stadium in 2012 guarantees a $30,000,000 prize pool in what they call “the biggest poker event ever.”




As you can see, details are thin on the ground. Will there be 80,000 people playing on laptops at Wembley? Will the trophy be that shiny? What’s the buy-in? How the hell is this going to work? Your guess is as good as ours, but speculation is rife.


The Facebook button at ISPT.com says “J’aime”, leading to belief that potential Full Tilt Poker owner Bernard Tapie is somehow involved. There is no proof of this, however, nor indeed whether the $30,000,000 will be guaranteed for one single event at Wembley or if that is spread over several to-be-announced events. It is called the International StadiumS Poker Tour, after all.
