The International Stadiums Poker Tour (ISPT) event at Wembley has been given the green light by the local authority. Brent Council has informed organisers ISPT and Global Gaming Ventures that Wembley can be used for a poker event after issuing a Temporary Use Notice.

ISPT have also unveiled the Amateur Poker Association and Tour as official partners. Des Duffy, APAT Managing Director said "APAT are happy to lend our support to the ISPT. We created the UK's first national poker tour and are excited that our members will have the opportunity to qualify for the UK's largest ever poker event, online at APAT.com."

ISPT will be sponsoring APAT's European Championship of Amateur Poker (ECOAP) at Dusk Till Dawn, Nottingham from August 24th to August 27th, the Scottish Amateur Poker Championship from the Alea, Glasgow on October 13 & 14, the United Kingdom Team Championship, G Casino, Luton on 26 & 27 January 2013 and the World Championship of Amateur Poker from 28 March to 1 April, again at Dusk Till Dawn, Nottingham.

The massive Wembley event is scheduled to take place from 31 May 2013 when organisers hope up to 30,000 players will compete using their own laptops. The final 3,000 will then take to the Wembley turf to battle it out for a prize pool estimated to reach €20m.

The initial buy-in is €600 but organisers are also offering a €1,200 option with a rebuy or add on and a €6,000 option for players wanting to buy directly into the live element of the contest.
