International Stadiums Poker Tour, the organisers of one of the most eagerly anticipated tournaments of 2013, have released details of their showpiece event at Wembley.
Players will have the opportunity to either qualify online or buy-in directly to the Wembley portion of the tournament. Six online day 1s will run between February and 19th May 2013. The buy-in is €300 with players receiving a starting stack of 5,000 chips on a 15-minute clock. 10% of the starting field will go through to Wembley, complete with the stack they accumulated online. Participants can play as many Day 1 as they want. The action will then resume at the London landmark on 1 June 2013 where the online qualifiers will be joined by players deciding to buy-in directly for €3,000. The new starters will begin with 50,000 chips with 60-minute levels. All told, there will be six days of live action with the winner set to be crowned on 6 June 2013. 70% of the players at Wembley will make the money.“In view of the number of registered players, we have the ambition and we are very confident that the prize pool will exceed €10 million,” said Laurent Tapie from ISPT. “The Main Event prize pool is not guaranteed. On the other hand, this new tournament format and the innovative structure of the payout will be a success for the players. “There are ample opportunities to qualify online for what promises to be one of the biggest events of the year. Players in the UK and most of Europe can satellite in at Poker770.com. Players in France should visit Partouche.fr or MyPok.fr while Spain-based players looking to qualify should visit Poker770.es. Satellites for the Italian market are running at Netbet.it. Players from around the globe can secure a seat courtesy of LockPoker.eu.“At ISPT, our goal is to please the players from all around the world,” added ISPT CEO Prosper Masquelier. “We listened to their constructive comments and advice to come up with a convenient yet innovative format. Having the possibility to play the main event from home, at an affordable buy-in was the choice of reason.“Mixing the online and live part in the same tournament was the choice of innovation. Letting poker fans to play on the pitch of Wembley, like football stars, was the choice of passion. I want to thank all the players and partners that have faith in this amazing project”.For full details of ISPT Wembley including the packed side event schedule and the complete satellite schedule, visit www.ispt.com.
