Organisers of the PokerStars UK and Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) have announced that the Hippodrome Casino in London will be the venue for the opening event of the 2015 season.
The £700+£70 Main Event will run from 20-25 January and will be the appetiser for EPT London which will follow soon after. The Hippodrome will also play host to a selection of side events including the £300+£30 London Cup and a £3,000 + £300 High Roller on 20 and 21 Jan.In addition to its trip to the capital, PokerStars also confirmed that the tour will be visiting Edinburgh, Bristol and Dublin later in the year as well dropping in on Marbella in Spain. Biggest of the lot is likely to be the £1 million guaranteed Main Event in Nottingham. Each festival will also feature a High Roller event.Brett Angell topped the 2014 UKIPT London Grand Final, pocketing a bumper £115,083 payday after outlasting a field of 1,089 runners in October.Satellites for the opening leg of the 2015 UKIPT season are up and running at PokerStars.
