High Stakes Poker hostess Kara Scott returns to Irish Open

High Stakes Poker hostess Kara Scott returns to Irish Open

Thursday, 25 February 2010

Kara Scott last year netted her biggest tournament cash when she came second in the Irish Open main event, taking home a nice payday of €310,000 after losing the heads-up battle to Swedish professional Christer Johansson. Hey, maybe he's Isildur1 and the €600,000 first prize was his beginning bankroll... nah, probably not.

Since taking home her reward after several days of intense poker play, Scott has been appearing in her usual spots on poker television programmes, most notably as the new tableside hostess of GSN's High Stakes Poker, replacing AJ Benza.

“I played my best ever poker there last year,” she said. “It's a lot of money to win for doing something that you love and to earn in such a short space of time, so hopefully I can hold my nerve again.”

You can qualify for the 2010 Irish Open event courtesy of CelebPoker.com. In fact, why not do it for just $5.50? Tonight we have a tournament to win tickets to a Irish Open main event satellite. Read the details on our CardGang page here.
