PokerStars will by shooting for records and flooding its virtual tables on February 23rd when it hosts a $1 mega event.
Following on from last year's world record tournament, PokerStars is now looking to top its 225,000 player record by squeezing 230,000 grinders into a single tournament. All the action will go down on February 23 and, for the paltry sum of $1, players will be able to compete for a prizepool worth $300,000. By the time the event gets underway PokerStars expects the 230,000 player cap to be reached, which means there will be an overlay of at least $70,000. On top of this, a slew of satellites starting from as little as a few player points are taking place right now and each offer direct access to the record tournament. Last year Russia's 'Mr.SlavaPro' overcame 224,000 players to scoop a $25,000 top prize and this year the same payout awaits the eventual winner.
