Here at Bluff Towers we were a little worried when we heard that Phil Hellmuth was planning a Lady GaGa inspired entrance at this year's WSOPE Main Event.

The prospect of the 6ft 7in Poker Brat dressing up as the diminutive singer certainly sent a shiver down our collective spines but thankfully the 11-time WSOP bracelet winner left the dressing up box at home. Hellmuth left the costumes to 11 Lady Gaga lookalikes and the brass band who accompanied him as he made his way into The Empire.


“I was pumped to see such a huge crowd gathered at ‘the Empire’ like never before when I arrived to take my seat at the WSOPE. Quite the arrival I’d say. The London double-decker, the brass band and 11 Lady Gagas all add up to the most unique media event in poker so far, “ said the UB pro Phil Hellmuth. “My crazy themed grand entrances to the WSOP in Vegas are an institution, and now London’s WSOPE seems to have embraced a whole new tradition too.”


The Poker Brat's Gaga inspired entrance follows Julius Caesar and Phil Hellmuth lookalike inspired arrivals in previous years.
