Gus Hansen wins $350,000 in less than 40 minutes

Gus Hansen just finished off a very profitable session of CAP PLO last night, playing Rui Cao at $500/$1,000 and winning over $350,000 in just 113 hands, what amounts to about forty minutes of play. This puts Hansen’s 2011 winnings at over $2m for 2011 thus far.

Could this be Hansen’s year? Last year he got off to a similarly roaring start online only to lose the initial profit and then some, winding up millions of dollars down on the year. However, this year is preceded by a WSOP bracelet win in London last September as well as the Poker Million IX title. As well as that, rumours abound that Hansen is dating tennis ace Caroline Wozniacki.


Danish poker magazine Acemag.dk state that Hansen is currently in Denmark celebrating his birthday and rolling around on a bed of money. The last part we just made up. He is in Denmark though.
