Wednesday, 7 September 2011

The WPT Grand Prix de Paris saw 172 players take part on Day 1b, giving us a total field of 312 players and beating last year’s field and prize pool. Leading the way into Day 2 out of the second opening flight is local pro Guillaume Darcourt, recognisable by both his bright pink barnet and his large pile of chips.

In total, 97 survivors will join the 70 who made it through Day 1a to give us a Day 2 field of 167 players. Of them, 36 will make it into the money and lock up at least $15,632 while the final table are guaranteed at least $78,166 and the winner will walk away with $729,886.

Other big stacks coming out of Day 1b include WSOP bracelet-winner Joe Ebanks, Tatjana Pasalic’s better half McLean Karr and Adam Geyer. Plans for Day 2 are to play down to 54 players and we’ll be bringing you all the action.
