Just 56 of the 895 starters are still in the hunt for a massive €810,000 payday heading into Day 4 of the €5,300 EPT Malta Main Event.

Leading the way is Javier Gomez who closed day 3 with an impressive stack of 1,698,000. Joining the Spaniard in the seven-figure stack club are Valentin Messina (1,362,000), Jorma Nuutinen (1,121,000), Alexander Ivarsson (1,119,000) and Manuel Zapf (1,086,000).

There are a number of familiar faces in the chasing pack including Sergio Aido, Sam Chartier, Fedor Holz, JC Alvarado and Dominik Panka.

Day 3 was a bad one for much of the British contingent with Sam Trickett, Jake Cody, Jack Salter and Martins Adeniya all hitting the rail.

Just Steve Watts (321,000), Mitch Johnson (312,000) and Carlo Citrone (136,000) remain from the UK.

Other notables whose challenge stalled with a small cash included former WSOP Main Event winner Jonathan Duhamel, Sorel Mizzi, Benny Spindler and Sylvain Loosli.

Follow all the action via the EPT Live Stream which starts broadcasting at noon.
