Go Inside PokerStars' Security

In an effort to prove that its poker platform is not only the largest but the safest place to play on the internet, PokerStars recently released a behind-the-scenes look at its virtual operation.

Continuing its new Inside PokerStars series, the video focuses on the company's fraud department and how it works to keep players safe from cheaters.

According to Eric Hollreiser, PokerStars has more than 67 million registered users with around 400,000 of them active at any one time. Despite the vast majority of players being honest, there are also going to be some "who don't play fair."

Around 20% of PokerStars' employees are tasked with protecting players through a variety of methods, including analysing player reports and picking out abnormal patterns. On top of this, the site also runs a series of programs that can also spot cheating, such as an algorithm that can detect "non-human behaviour patterns" or bots as they're commonly known.
