One of the most anticipated UKIPT events of the year is just around the corner and this year the Nottingham leg of the tour promises to be bigger than ever.
Set to take place between April 12 and 19, UKIPT Nottingham and Dusk Till Dawn will see hundreds of seasoned grinders from across the UK and Europe sit down for a shot at £1 million. As ever, the £1,000+£100 Main Event will be the star of the show, but throughout the festival there will be ample opportunities for players to ante-up and compete for a slice of UKIPT success. Flanking the £1 million guaranteed Main Event will be a selection of side events, including the £3,000+£300 High Roller and the £300+£30 Nottingham cup.To ensure things run smoothly, Simon Trumper and his team at DTD will be keeping an eye on things and making sure everyone that wants a seat in any event gets one. Indeed, last year the Main Event swelled to 1,223 players which meant the organizers were kept busy with alternates, table draws and finding new seating. However, like a team of pros, everyone was attended to in the best possible way as Duncan Mclellan made his way towards the winner's enclosure.Having already taken the UKIPT Isle of Man title just a few months earlier, Mclellan was able to carve his way through the field and scoop the £202,372 top prize after beating Angelo Milioto in a close heads-up match. This year the organizers are expecting more than 1,000 players for the Main Event and, to ensure the number of entrants is high, PokerStars has a number of last minute satellites for this and all UKIPT events throughout the year.
