The prolific Ludovic Geilich was the toast of the Tyne yesterday after claiming the latest leg of the Genting Poker Series in Newcastle.
The Glaswegian German already has a string of live tournament titles to his name including wins on the UKIPT, Eureka Poker Tour and most recently the Grosvenor 25/25 Series.He added the Genting crown to his tournament CV after topping an impressive 248-runner field over the weekend.After safely navigating his way through a final table that featured Andrew Leathem, Criag Granger and Nick Ramsey it was left to Darren Grosvenor to derail the Geilich challenge.The recent GUKPT 25/25 Glasgow winner wouldn't be denied though and after half an hour of two-handed play he was celebrating another tournament triumph. The final hand was a classic flip with Geilich's Queens ending up with the best of it against Grosvenor's AK.
