A massive field of 265 entries was on hand for Day 1C of the Genting Poker Series in Southend yesterday with 84 players surviving after 10 levels of action.

Leading the way at bagging up time yesterday was Neil Kilgour 195,600, followed by 161,500, Kris Hussain 161,200, Guy Taylor 157,400 and Richard Paul 156,100.

The combined Day 1B and 1C fields will combine at 1pm today with 130 players still hoping for a sizeable chunk of the £171,000 prize pool. Will Messenger remains the man to beat with the Day 1B chip leader returning with a huge 254,900 stack.
