Full Tilt Merit Cyprus Classic final table complete

Wednesday, 25 August 2010

A field that began with 181 players has been whittled down to a final table of six at the Full Tilt Merit Classic Cyprus.

All eyes had been on David Benyamine and Eric Mizrachi going into the penultimate day but unfortunately for the railbirds the two biggest names bowed out yesterday. Mizrachi squeaked into the money, finishing in 18th place just inside the bubble for a $12,995 payday. Benyamine did slightly better, eventually busting in 12th for $15,590.

The final table is largely made up of unknowns with Full Tilt Red Pro Van Marcus the best known of the final six. Marcus is second on the leader board behind Zsolt Vasvenszki who holds almost one third of the chips in play. Joining the two big stacks at the final table are long time chip leader Mathieu Clavet, Andreas Krause, Ahmet Ucali and Hakan Dalokay.

The action resumes this afternoon. Join us tomorrow to see who pockets the $415k first prize.
