Irish players can look forward to some top notch tournament action at the Fitzwilliam Club in Dublin whose six event Poker Festival starts later today.
The action gets under way at 8.30pm with a €55 rebuy satellite for the two-day, €800 scalp Main Event which starts on Saturday. There should be plenty of action in this one as an extra €1000 is up for grabs for 10 nominated bounty players as well as an optional €50 last-longest prop bet. Also on the schedule is the biggest monthly event in Ireland, the €270 Fitwilliam End of Month Freezeout on Thursday 24th November. With an average field of 130 runners players can expect to battle it out for a share of €30,000+ prize pool. There's another €100 bounty tournament on Friday 25th November with players offered one rebuy and an add on in addition to their 4,000 chip starting stack. Players who prefer their starting hand to have four cards rather than two will be catered for as well with a €220 PLO Triple Chance event starting on 27th November. The big addition to this year's Fitzwilliam Festival is a new two-day team event. The buy-in for a team of four is €500 + €40 – but any team raising funds for a charity or good cause will have their registration fee waived.Rounding things off on Tuesday 29th November is a €100+€10 Double Chance freezeout with starting stacks of 5,000.For more information and details of how to reserve your seat in advance click here.
