First WSOP Bracelet for Brit Benny Glaser

A new name can be added to the list of Britons to taste World Series of Poker glory after Benny Glaser won the WSOP $1,500 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball title.

The 26-year-old topped a field of 388 runners to earn his first WSOP win, seeing off the considerable challenge of Brock Parker heads up to secure his maiden bracelet.

“This is one of my very best games. I play it all the time, mostly online,” the man from Southampton told WSOP.com. “So, I wasn’t surprised to win the bracelet in this event. In fact, I thought this one gave me the best chance.”

Glaser managed to overturn a hefty four to one chip deficit at the start of two-handed play. That would be an impressive achievement against any opponent, let alone against Brock Parker, a man with three WSOP bracelets in his collection already.

The Briton got hot at just the right time and rode that heater all the way to victory. Glaser was generous in victory admitting, “I ran really good at the end. I got a lot of cards and it seemed (Brock Parker) missed his draws. I ran good at just the right time.”

Glaser had earned his first WSOP cash earlier this year after a 289th place finish in the Millionaire Maker. To that first cash can be added a first bracelet. Well played sir.
