Fifth season of GUKPT announced; £200,000 added in prizes

The 2011 season of the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour – its fifth – will be kicking off on the 24th of this month at the G Casino in Manchester. The good news is that this time around there will be a staggering £200,000 in added prize money including a £65,000 GUKPT Leaderboard and a £100,000 Champion of Champions freeroll event.

In addition, the Summer Series is making a return for 2011 with several smaller buy-in events taking place across the country from May to July. Sponsors and online poker room Blue Square will be running qualifying events to both the £1,075 Main Events; the £300 to £500 Summer Series events; the £2,500 Grand Final. You can qualify for as little as £10.


The full schedule for the GUKPT and the Summer Series is as follows:

Summer Series – G Casino, Bolton (09/06 – 12/06) £500 Main Event
Summer Series – G Casino, Plymouth (09/06 – 12/06) £300 Main Event
Summer Series – Grosvenor Casino, Sheffield (07/07 – 10/07) £500 Main Event
Summer Series – Grosvenor Casino, Southampton (07/07 – 10/07) £500 Main Event
Leg 4 – G Casino, Luton (15/08 – 21/08) £1,000 Main Event
