Ferguson Civil Chat with DOJ

Ferguson Civil Chat with DOJ

Thursday, 31 January 2013

Chris Ferguson has been in extensive talks with the US Department of Justice over the last few weeks according to recent reports.

The former high flyer at Full Tilt has been battling a civil case for his role in the online poker site’s scandal since last year but it now seems he could be close to a settlement.

Late in 2012 Howard Lederer and Rafe Furst managed to settle their cases, forfeiting a small portion of their multi-million dollar fortunes gained from their positions at Full Tilt.

However, Ferguson has been unable to come to an agreement and, after another extension was granted, the DOJ will now have until February 18th to address his case.

While Ferguson waits to learn his fate, US players affected by the demise of Full Tilt are currently holding their breath in anticipation of a repayment plan.

According to a source at the DOJ, an announcement as to exactly how and when US players are going to be repaid will be happening “very soon”.
