Federated Sports & Gaming announce season one line-up

Wednesday, 4 May 2011

Annie Duke and Jeffrey Pollack’s decision to abstain from website sponsorship might be one of the best calls in poker tournament history post-Black Friday as it seems the Federated Poker League is very much alive and well. In fact, 218 players have been selected for the event that seems to be gaining more prestige and respect by the minute.

Players have been awarded membership cards to the league for certain periods – for example, the highest membership is a 5-year card that requires at least $4m in lifetime tournament earnings with the highest score capped at $2m and $600k in 9 cashes since January 2008 plus three major lifetime titles. Lower down, players have 3- and 2-year cards with some more adjusted to recent success.

Those on a 5-year membership in the 218 players include Daniel Alaei, David Chiu, Scott Clements, Hoyt Corkins, Allen Cunningham, Freddy Deeb, Roland de Wolfe, Chris Ferguson, Barry Greenstein, Phils Hellmuth and Ivey and Howard Lederer.
