Extra Days Added to International Poker Open

Extra Days Added to International Poker Open

Friday, 8 February 2013

It's less than a week since BoylePoker.com announced that the 2013 International Poker Open was moving from Ireland to London and already there are major expansion plans.

Organisers are expecting such a big field for the £200+£25 buy-in event at Aspers Casino that they have added an extra opening day and a separate day just for the final table action. Re-entry will now also be allowed.

The updated schedule is as follows:

Day 1A: Wednesday April 17, 2013 (Play starts at 7pm & finishes at 12:40am)
Day 1B: Thursday April 18, 2013 (Play starts at 7pm & finishes at 12:40am)
Day 1C: Friday April 19, 2013 (Play starts at 7pm & finishes at 12:40am)
Day 2: Saturday April 20, 2013 (2pm start & finishes at 02:00am)
Day 3: Sunday April 21, 2013 (2pm start finishes at 02:00am)

"After taking some feedback from players and discussing our options with Aspers we've decided to add an extra starting day to IPO London 2013, host the final table on a separate day and add a re-entry element,” said Ciaran Corbett, head of poker at Boylesports.com.

"This will accommodate more players, bulk up the prize pool and, most importantly, increase the comfort factor for players, many of whom will travel from far and wide to play in the event."

The official launch of IPO London 2013 takes place this Friday, 8 February at 8.30 pm at Boylepoker.com with a £5 + £0.50 buy in rebuy/add on tournament with four IPO seat tokens worth £900 added.

Players can also try and bag a seat in the two weekly £20 + £2 Super Satellites every Thursday and Sunday at 8pm with late registration until the end of level six. Each Super Satellite has one seat guaranteed.

New players can try and qualify for the International Poker Open with a first deposit of up to $1,000. Sign up at BoylePoker.com.
