Writing on his blog at Coinflip.com, Esfandiari revealed that he was offered the part while on a trip to Southern California and being a fan of the show was delighted to take part. He was joined on the set by fellow poker pro Alec Torelli who was there as a spectator but also ended up in the scene.


Entourage appears to be the TV programme of choice for high stakes poker pros. Daniel Negreanu also made a brief appearance in the show last year.


The episode featuring Esfandiari and Torelli will be aired later this year.
