Email Invite Prompts Rumours of PokerStars US Return

Wednesday, 10 September 2014

An email to PokerStars' former VIPs living in New Jersey has sparked rumours that the site is moving closer to a US return.

Ever since Amaya Gaming took over PokerStars there has been talk of a re-entry into the US, but so far the speculation has gone unfounded.

However, in the last 24 hours, forum poster, 'YouFold2Me', posted a copy of the email he received from the poker site.

Being a former PokerStars VIP and currently based in the Garden State, 'YouFold2Me' was invited to two meetings with representatives from the site.

The Official Letter:

Dear PokerStars Player,

As a valued former PokerStars VIP in New Jersey, we would like to invite you to meet two members of PokerStars management who will be in the area this week.

They will be hosting two discussions in a casual setting with the goal of meeting the New Jersey player base and inviting feedback on any topics or concerns you as a player may have.

The meetings will be in an Open House format and you can drop by at any time during the scheduled sessions. RSVP is not required. Here are the details.

Session 1
When: Monday, September 8, from 5pm-7pm
Format: Complimentary hors d’oeuvres and drinks

Address: 2 Exchange Place Jersey City, New Jersey, 07302

Session 2
When: Wednesday, September 10, from 12:30pm-2:30pm
Where: Landshark Bar & Grill
Format: Complimentary lunch and drinks

We hope you’ll be able to attend, and please contact us at vipclub@pokerstars.com if you have any questions.

Kind Regards,
The PokerStars VIP Team

Of course, while the letter doesn't offer any concrete proof the PokerStars will be back in the US any time soon, it's certainly an intriguing indication that the company is, at least, preparing to go live in New Jersey.
