EPT Prague is record-breaking with a prize pool of over €3.6m

Wednesday, 7 December 2011

The PokerStars EPT Prague had a gigantic Day 1b field to become the largest tournament held in the Czech Republic. The second day attracted 488 players in addition to Day 1a’s 234 for a total field of 722. The winner is set to take home €775,000.

After Day 1b, Andrey Saenko will be leading the field today after accumulating 200,800. He has big names behind him though as Liv Boeree, Lex Veldhuis, Luca Pagano, Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier and Jonathan Duhamel all built up impressive stacks. UKIPT winner Max Silver is riding high, as are Irishman Jude Ainsworth, Chris Moorman, Martins Adeniya and James Akenhead.

While the 2010 world champion survived, the 2011 champion did not. Pius Heinz hit the rail as did Arnaud Mattern, Dario Miniero and Sandra Naujoks.
