EPT Prague Bubble Bursts

The main event of the Prague stop of the European Poker Tour (EPT) is fast approaching its end with just 67 players remaining from the 1,044 runners that started the €5,300 ($5,814) buy-in game on Thursday.
Abbas Moradi is currently top of the pile for the €921,540 ($1.01 million) first prize payout after amassing a chip stack of 1,384,000 by the close of play on Sunday. Joining the Iranian in the upper echelons of the leaderboard and also holding at least one million chips in Prague are Preben Stokkan, Hossein Ensan, Vlado Banicevic, Samuel Vousden and Ori Miller.
There’s plenty of class still on show further back including Scotland's Niall Farrell. The Glaswegian pocketed €534,330 ($585,948) after taking down the main event at the EPT’s Malta stop in late-October and will start today’s action at the Hilton Prague Hotel with 828,000 chips.
The remaining field additionally includes a healthy sprinkling of players from the UK including Ka Kwan Lau with 862,000 chips, Iaron Lightbourne holding 540,000, Ben Dobson on 354,000 and Chris Walker gripping 350,000. Also well placed are Irishmen Marc MacDonnell and Gavin O'Rourke, who'll return with 841,000 and 634,000 respectively.
The main event’s money bubble burst on Sunday with Chris Moneymaker, Mickey Petersen, James Akenhead and David Vamplew among those missing out on a pay-day. Also going out but with some money in their pockets were Johnny Lodden, Adrian Mateos, Jude Ainsworth and Bluff Europe’s very own Dara O'Kearney.
