EPT Berlin Day 1b completed, total field of 745 players

Wednesday, 18 April 2012

Day 1b of the PokerStars EPT Berlin attracted a field over twice as large as Day 1a, giving us a total field of 745 players and a chip leader in the shape of Cengiz Ulusu, whose 242,800 stack bested Day 1a leader Vladimir Geshkenbein’s.

Notable survivors include ElkY, Viktor Blom, Alex Kravchenko, Wimbledon champion Boris Becker and Kevin MacPhee, who finished on a high of 139,100. Also still in the hunt is Jake Cody, who built his stack up to 149,700, with Rupert Elder, David Vamplew, Stephen Chidwick among a healthy sprinkling of UK players making it through to Day 2 action today.

The prizes are also set with the winner to match Ben Wilinofsky’s €825,000 purse last year. All those at the final table will have locked up at least €72,000 with 112 of the 329 remaining players taking home €7,500.
