ECoOP begins later this month

PokerStars are getting their SCoOP on but for those of us on the more civilised side of the Atlantic, the iPoker Network has announced that their annual European Championship of Online Poker will be starting on May 24.

The series guarantees over $5,000,000 and kicks off with a NLHE 6-max event with a $250,000 prize pool. Freezeouts and rebuys will cover Hold ‘em, Omaha and Stud with the series culminating in a monstrous $1.5m guaranteed Main Event.

For the first time, a Quadric poker tournament will be taking place as players compete in four concurrent tournaments for a total $100,000 prize pool. Fear not, however, if these numbers sound too lofty.

A mini-ECoOP, starting on May 13, will run a week prior to the tournament series proper with buy-ins a fraction of the size. Furthermore, satellites to ECoOP events are running at Titan Poker, and bet365.
