Doyle Brunson, the man who many refer to as the "Godfather of Poker", is set to undergo his 12th major operation after doctors discovered a growing melanoma.
Over the last few years Brunson has managed to maintain a busy poker schedule despite his failing health. However, in between two previous operations to remove melanomas, Brunson has never lost his sense of humour.Treating surgery like his treats his poker opponents (with disdain), Brunson has managed to fight through any ailments and still compete (and beat) the best players in the world.News of his latest health issue came via Twitter and a typically jovial set of messages:
