Poor Daniel "jungleman12" Cates. In 2010 he won more money playing cash games than any other online poker player but this year his luck has turned.
After Black Friday, Maryland resident Cates was – like thousands of others – left without an income. According to Mike Matusow, Cates has more than $6m stuck on Full Tilt.Orginally, "Jungleman12" had planned to move to Canada in order to continue playing online poker but he was denied access to the country. After troubles with securing a visa, he planned to move to Portugal with Haseeb Quershi and “Portuguese Poker Prodigy” Jose Macedo. Since then it has been alleged that Macedo has been less than honest in his play, scuppering the two high stakes regulars’ plans to live with him.Now Cates has Tweeted that he 'should be playing online within a week' though he didn’t mention where his new residence was. He is currently in the UK and has been for the last few days, so perhaps he has joined Viktor Blom and “ElkY” in London?Keep up to date with all the news from the poker world by following us on Twitter and Facebook.
