Chouity adds SCOOP title to collection

Nicolas Chouity is the latest familiar face from the live circuit to show his online stripes at this year's SCOOP. The 2010 EPT Grand Final winner took down SCOOP 24-M: $109 PL Omaha [1R1A, Turbo] for $47k score.

EPT Grand Final Super High Roller winner Justin Bonomo also continued his good run with a second-place finish in the SCOOP 22-H: $1,050 Mixed NLHE/PLO event for $62,130.

The attention of most railbirds was centred on the SCOOP 20-H: $2,100 NL Hold’em though, which attracted a stacked field, including Viktor Blom who was chasing his third SCOOP title of the year. Isildur1 was well placed to make an extremely deep run when he got all his chips in the middle with pocket aces against pocket jacks and AK. The winner of that pot would have one third of the chips in play with 20 players left. Unfortunately for the Swede, a jack appeared on the flop, with the AK making a straight by the river.

The winner of that huge pot was “SUNDAYKING” who eventually went on to bag the $293,950 first prize. Other big names to go deep included Nacho Barbero (5th), Ivan Demidov (11th), Shaun Deeb (16th), Jonathan Duhamel (17th), Vanessa Selbst (27th).

There's still time to play in this year's SCOOP at PokerStars with a first deposit bonus of up to £400. Sign up here.
