It looks like a Chinese kindergarten pupil has been trying to create his own version of the Macau high stakes game.

According to a report in China News, the four-year-old from Shaoyang in Hunan province was caught with 20,000 yuan ($3,250) in his schoolbag by a teacher looking for his homework.

When quizzed by teachers, the youngster admitted that he took the money from his home where his mother planned to use on a business deal.

He added that he wanted the cash to 'gamble with his friends' in high stakes games with his pals.
